the only clue is you enter the room and you see 4 pedestals. one of them can be examined and it just says there is soot on it. the others cannot be examined ot interacted with in any (obvious) way. the only other clue is a bas relief of a cyclops in a whirlpool. and the player is supposed to make a fantastic leap of logic here that obviously .
